West Long Branch is a small and intimate community located between the towns of Long Branch and Eatontown. Major redevelopments to the Long Branch area have brought popular attractions to the area like the shopping/dining and entertainment mall, Pier Village, an ocean-front boardwalk attraction.

The West Long Branch school district serves students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Schools in the district are Betty McElmon Elementary School, serving kindergarten through 3rd grade; and Frank Antonides School, for students in grades 4 - 8.
Students in grades 9 – 12 attend Shore Regional High School, a regional high school that serves students of Monmouth Beach, Sea Bright, Oceanport and West Long Branch.
Monmouth University is a four-year private university on a 155-acre campus established in 1933. It currently has 5,600 students and 232 full-time faculties. The campus is notable for Wilson Hall, a National Historic Landmark that was used in the 1982 film Annie.
